ARSD GETS TV DEAL -  The American Roller Skating Derby has announced that the San Francisco Bay Bombers will be back on Bay Area TV for the first time in over 20 years starting in early 2009 on KBWB-TV20.

The San Francisco Bay Bombers will be on twice a week -  Noon Saturday with a repeat show on Midnight Saturday.

The San Francisco Bay Bombers will be featured each week skating against the ARSD Brooklyn Red Devils, Chicago Pioneers, San Diego FireBirds, Eastern Chiefs, and the newest ARSD team the Orlando Thunder.

Interleague games with the San Francisco Bay Bombers vs. non-ARSD teams will also be featured.

Right now there is a 13-week commitment, but it's hoped that it will turn into a long term commitment with TV20. Hopefully the ARSD will also make the games available on DVD for fans who are outside the Bay Area.

OUR VIEW ON ROLLERGIRLS - Sorry girls! While we love all you Rollergirls to death for starting leagues and playing a sport, this page is for the grand old traditional sport of banked track Roller Derby with men's and women's mixed teams and traditional rules...not flat track or Rollergirls banked track with silly names, even sillier costumes, "bouts" and massive rule changes. You do not meet the traditional definition of Roller Derby, so call yourself Rollergirls and get on with it. Build your own traditions and history. Your game is similar, but not the same.
